Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, Duke Johnson Tedford and Ruth Idell Murphree Tedford her husband of 65 years, Bernnie Bailey Jones, Sr. After her husband’s death in 2017, she retired at home. Gladys was a member of Dockery Baptist Church. Gladys worked for B&W Memorial Company in Cleveland from 2003-2016. Gladys also helped her husband run the ½ way grocery store for 10 years. She worked at Baxter Laboratories for 12 years. in 1955 and they moved to the country where they lived for the balance of their lives. She attended her first 2 years of school in Skene and then her family moved to Cleveland where she graduated from High School in 1951. Gladys was born on Novemto Duke Johnson Tedford and Ruth Idell Murphree in Skene, MS. Reverend Bill Kirkpatrick will officiate the services.
A Celebration of Life Funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation for Gladys will be held 1:00 PM until 300 PM Sunday Augat Cleveland Funeral Home. Gladys Ann Tedford Jones, age 86, of Cleveland, MS, passed away on Augat her home.
